Bob Agnew out as leader of KNEW, KKGN

Bob Agnew is among the dozen Clear Channel employees in San Francisco who will be leaving the company due to budget cuts, according to Radio Online and AllAccess.com. He was program director of conservative KNEW-AM 910 and liberal KKGN-AM 960. Before that he was program director of KNBR-AM 680 but was ousted along with host Larry Krueger after Krueger's on-air comments about the Giants' "brain-dead Caribbean hitters."

Also exiting is Mario Butzner, KKSF and KNEW production director. The names of the others who have left CC SF were not immediately known. (Photo credit: Christina Koci Hernandez, Chronicle, 2006)
