Bad news about good journalism

Cheong Yip Seng, a top editor with Singapore's Straits Times, wonders what will happen to quality journalism if Knight Ridder is unable to counter the influence of Wall Street. One answer he got was a piece of insight from investor Warren Buffett (a major shareholder of The Washington Post Co.): Would you rather be a mediocre newspaper with a 20% margin, or a great one with 18%?
