Melanie Morgan quits national show, cites health

Joe Garofoli's blog at SFGate.com reports that conservative talk show host Melanie Morgan has resigned from her nationally syndicated morning radio program that was produced by the Washington Times. "I have some health issues that I need to attend to and that's the reason why I am leaving Washington, D.C. and returning to California where my family and friends can help me get through this challenging time," she told Garofoli. "But I expect to lace up my skates and get goin' again soon!" Her new show, "America's Morning News," is carried by her old station, KSFO 560, from 3-6 a.m. weekdays.

For "health reasons" I don't listen to KSFO. The station makes me sick.

With or without Melanie, America's Morning News isn't doing too well. Seems too few stations want to replace their morning crew for a syndicated show. Worse, the Moony-owned Washington Times is going through severe budget cuts, and it's support of the program may be in question. With Melanie moving on, it's probably just a matter of time before KSFO replaces it with something Citidel is offering its stations.

It's a shame ... that show is the only reason I listen to KSFO.
I hope they keep it on with the new girl .. Amy is pretty good so far, but I really liked Melanie.
Good Luck Melanie !!!
